Think Forestry with Intesa Sanpaolo

We actively participated in the event of the “Think Forestry” project of Intesa Sanpaolo, which stopped in Varese. At the Campo dei Fiori National Park, 1,000 trees of local species will be planted, with the aim of promoting the recovery of ecosystems damaged by fires and extreme weather events.

Think Forestry is an Intesa Sanpaolo initiative dedicated to reforestation and the protection of natural capital. The project aims to plant and preserve 100 million trees globally, as part of the ESG commitment outlined in the 2022-2025 Business Plan.

Campo dei Fiori Park, established in 1984, is known for its high diversity of tree species. In its highest part, beech trees prevail, along with a vast reforestation of conifers compromised by extreme weather events and the epidemic of the Norway spruce bark beetle. In the lower part, however, chestnut, ash, linden and sycamore trees are mainly found.

The Think Forestry project, which has already touched cities such as Turin, Rome and Naples, also aims to involve as many local companies as possible that are committed to reducing their environmental impact. This involvement activates a path of sustainable development, with the goal of achieving zero emissions.

Think Forestry is created in collaboration with Rete Clima Impresa Sociale, a leader in Italy in the development of decarbonisation projects for companies, ESG solutions and new urban and extra-urban forestation.
