Public-Private Partnership (PPP) is a form of medium-long term cooperation between the public and private sectors, for the performance of public tasks such as the construction of works and the management of services, in which the necessary resources are placed under joint management and the risks associated with the projects are divided between the partners in a proportionate manner, on the basis of their respective risk management skills.

In the context of an unprecedented economic slowdown, the PPP represents the most modern and effective instrument for the implementation of public works to support the projects and coffers of Public Bodies, as an alternative or in addition to traditional financing instruments, the effectiveness of which is decreasing over time.
